Was studying photography in N. Gaidabura's photographic studio in Batumi. In 1913, he started working in Tiflis magazine "Theatre and Life" as photo reporter. Later he opened his own studio and worked for decades on the same place on Rustaveli avenue. His photo studio was very popular. He was mostly shooting celebrities.

Currently, his son and his grandson are working there.
